TAGI Logistics Completes End-to-End Transport for Tatay Hydropower Project in Remote Koh Kong, Cambodia
In a landmark cross-border logistics operation, TAGI Logistics successfully executed the complex transportation of critical equipment for the Tatay Hydropower Plant, located in the remote mountainous region of Koh Kong, Cambodia. The project was commissioned by Cambodian Upper Tatay Hydropower Co., LTD, requiring customized logistics planning, heavy cargo handling, and seamless coordination across international borders.
One of the project’s most critical components was customs clearance. TAGI handled all Vietnamese export procedures, working closely with port authorities and customs offices to ensure compliance and timely release. With the documentation and permits in order, the cargo embarked on a multi-day river journey toward Tatay Jetty in Koh Kong, Cambodia.

TAGI’s scope began at Ben Nghe Port (Vietnam), where the cargo arrived by sea. TAGI arranged for the safe receiving of all cargo from the vessel, using certified heavy-lift equipment and rigging teams to ensure smooth offloading. The cargo was then transferred onto barges, requiring precision alignment and lashing to meet both safety and navigational standards for river transport.

Upon arrival at the remote Tatay Jetty, TAGI executed a roll-off operation using hydraulic trailers and winches, overcoming limited infrastructure and tight site conditions.
The final leg involved transporting the cargo through dense forest to the Tatay Hydropower Plant. TAGI deployed off-road trailers and escorts, navigating mud, narrow paths, and steep gradients following a thorough route survey.
